In
the demonology tome The Lesser Key of Solomon, Paimon is keeper of the
secrets of music, art and philosophy. His appearance is heralded by demons
in the form of men blaring discordant trumpets and rattling cymbals. In
order to receive Paimon’s knowledge, a conjurer must first allow him to ask
any question he wishes.
A., I. and D. are Castevet. Their debut seven-inch EP
“Stones/Salts” reshapes the grim, dissonant riffing and anguished rasp
of black metal into a new form that asks questions of the listener before
revealing the secrets hidden within its epic structures. Paragon Records
will release “Stones/Salts” later in 2008 under the sigil of Paimon.
A
preview of Castevet’s “Stones/Salts” can be previewed here.
